Growing the Margins and the Canadian Farm and Food Biogas and their joint exhibition will be presented at the London Convention Centre, London, Ontario, Canada, Monday and Tuesday, March 5 and 6, 2012.  Special added attractions, including the ever-popular Technology Tours, will be held Wednesday, March 7.

Solar at GTM

All facets of solar energy in the farm and rural sectors will be a major component of the 2012 Growing the Margins conference program.  As well, the GTM/Biogas combined exhibits will be an excellent opportunity to display solar technologies and services to a large and diverse range of conference attendees.

Topics covered in the technical sessions will include: operating your solar system; rooftop solar; rooftop and ground-mounted solar business considerations; energy yield and storage; solar hot water systems; and small solar, biomass and wind systems. See Call for Abstracts, and check later for the full conference program when posted.

If you want to learn more about farm and rural solar systems, GTM 2012 is the place to be.

About the Growing the Margins Conference

The Growing the Margins: Rural Green Energy Conference & Exhibition will once again extend GTM’s successful track record by further exploring new technological, operating, policy, regulatory, financial and other challenges and opportunities facing farms and related food and rural industries as they strive to improve their energy efficiency, better utilize byproducts - - and ultimately improve their bottom lines.

The GTM and Biogas conferences have always strived to be leading edge.  To that end, “innovation” will be the theme and key component of the Growing the Margins Conference as well as the Canadian Farm and Food Biogas Conference.

Growing the Margins will be of interest to:

  • livestock and field and horticulture crop farmers
  • greenhouse operators
  • food and beverage processors
  • technology and service providers
  • governments at all levels
  • utilities
  • researchers
  • financial institutions

--and other stakeholders who recognize the social, economic and environmental opportunities and benefits of expanding farm and food processing operations beyond traditional crop, meat and food production and who wish to become suppliers of energy and new products.
